So grab your Bible as we go through 10 powerful verses that will help you trust the Lord more deeply.

Proverbs 3:5-6


Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.

Reflection:

“All your heart” means no plan B—this is a total surrender.

“Lean not” implies active resistance to self-reliance.

Challenge: What area of your life are you still trying to control?

Psalm 28:7

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.

Reflection:

Trust isn’t passive—it’s a heart posture that activates God’s help.

Visual: Picture God as a shield in your battles today.

Isaiah 26:3-4

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord Himself is the Rock eternal.

Reflection:

“Perfect peace” = Shalom shalom (double emphasis in Hebrew).

Practical Tip: Write this verse on a sticky note for anxious moments.

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord… They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.

Reflection:

Trust roots us—so we won’t wither in drought.

Question: Where are you “planting” your trust? (God or worldly security?)

Psalm 56:3-4

When I am afraid, I put my trust in You. In God, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid.

Reflection:

David names his fear but chooses trust.

Prayer Prompt: God, I’m afraid of __, but I trust You today with it.

Nahum 1:7

The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.

Reflection:

Trust flows from knowing God’s character (He’s good and caring).

Action: List 3 ways God has been faithful to you in the past.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Reflection:

Trust isn’t crossing your fingers—it’s being filled with supernatural peace.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, overflow my heart with hope today.

2 Corinthians 5:7

For we live by faith, not by sight.

Reflection:

Trust means following God even when the path isn’t clear.

Question: What’s one step of faith God is asking of you right now?

Psalm 37:5

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act.

Reflection:

“Commit” = Roll your burdens onto God (Hebrew: galal).

Challenge: Physically open your hands in prayer as a surrender gesture.

Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Reflection:

God’s presence (“I am with you”) is the foundation of trust.

Closing Prayer: Lord, I choose to trust You with __ today. Hold me up.
